There's nothing quite like pulling into a remote campsite after a day on the road, firing up the camp stove, and relaxing by the fire with my dog under a blanket of stars. From that trip through Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons, the Grand Canyon, and up into Glacier and the Canadian Rockies (Jasper), exploring the open road in an RV has created some of our greatest family memories.
Close to home, some of our favorite Colorado spots include mountain biking 18 Road in Fruita, hanging out at Turquoise Lake in Leadville, fishing in Pueblo State Park, riverside campfires in Salida, exploring Great Sand Dunes National Park, and quick escapes to Horsetooth Reservoir.
I outfitted The Summit Hawk with a full modern remodel so others could experience that same sense of freedom — off-grid solar, a King bed, and a fully equipped kitchen.
